Jeju Special Self-Governing Province enacted the 'Jeju Special Self-Governing Province's Basic Ordinance on the Creation of a Women-Friendly City (April 6, 2012)' as a legal framework for fostering a women-friendly city. This research examines the progress of Jeju Women-Friendly City, the first regional model in the country, and proposes the 'Jeju Special Self-Governing Province's 2nd Basic Plan for Women-Friendly City' based on an assessment of Jeju People's needs.
