This study analyzed the gender status of economic activities for middle-aged and elderly people aged 50 to 64 across the country and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, laws, policies, support institutions, and private support cases in the government, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Seoul Metropolitan City, and Busan Metropolitan City. In addition, a focus group interview survey (FGI) was conducted on 14 middle-aged women aged 50 to 64 in Jeju to investigate the desired jobs and the desired measures to support middle-aged women's economic activities after retirement. Based on the results of the survey, tasks such as ① creating and providing jobs tailored to middle-aged women, ② expanding education and training related to employment for middle-aged women and financial support, ④ expanding middle-aged jobs through private companies, and ③ strengthening information on middle-aged jobs and support systems were proposed.
