This research is a follow-up to 「Basic Research for Establishing the History of Women's Labor in Modern Jeju (Kyeong-Sook Kang et al.)」, conducted in 2021, noting the need of exploring the 'post-liberation history of women in Jeju' and the 'research on April 3 incident from a gender perspective'. Exploring the experiences of women in Jeju after the April 3 incident, this research aims to illuminate and rediscover the roles and values of women as economic and social contributors. Specifically, it extends the temporal scope to the period of Jeju's post-war reconstruction and regional development (1950s-1970s), undertaking a gender-oriented examination of women's labor and life after the April 3 incident.
