In order to improve the quality of childcare services and to vitalize such care services in Jeju, this research analyzed the current status of childcare support programs offered by the central government and the ones offered by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, based on the survey of 600 persons in total including 450 childcare service users and 150 potential users(simply the members of the service) in Jeju. This research also conducted FGI for the employees or staff of childcare service institutions or childminder training institutions. Based on the research outcome, 11 detailed tasks were proposed for four areas such as improving the quality of childcare services from the users' perspectives, enhancing the expertise and treatment of childminders, delivering the service in a more efficient way, and strengthening the foundation to implement childcare support programs.
