The persistent COVID-19 outbreak since 2019 has led to challenges such as heightened social polarization and diminished social trust, particularly impacting the socially vulnerable. In response, the 8th popularly elected Jeju government is emphasizing a paradigm shift and the establishment of a sustainable society to address the changing social landscape. To tackle these challenges, this research organized a policy idea contest for local residents with the aim of mitigating social inequalities within the community. Based on the ideas, a proposal for a comprehensive women and family policy for Jeju people was developed to foster social integration.
