Research

This research examines the women-friendly city promotion system and cases in other cities and provinces. It also analyzes the direction and significance of reform in the women-friendly city designation system, evaluates the current situation in Jeju using the common evaluation index, and proposes short-, medium-, and long-term measures. These measures include strengthening the legal foundation and promotion system and ensuring the effectiveness of key issues in each area. Particularly, the research incorporates an expert policy advisory group with 10 members for each of the 5 target areas of women-friendly cities. This group is organized to analyze the current status, provide consulting on improvement directions, and engage in comprehensive discussions, contributing to laying the foundation and accumulating experience for formation of expert governance for women-friendly.
