In an effort to reinvigorate parental education with a focus on respecting children, a fundamental principle of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, this research explored the current state of parental education delivery systems and conducted a survey of 440 parents residing in Jeju covering child-rearing status, parenting styles, parenting stress, awareness of and demand for corporal punishment of children, and focus group interviews with parent groups. The objective is to propose measures that link the parental education delivery system and revitalize parental education in Jeju.
