Research
As Jeju Special Self-Governing Province endeavors to become a child-friendly city, this research investigates measures to ensure the efficient operation of UNICEF's Child Impact Assessment and the government's child policy impact assessment. These policy instruments are designed to uphold children's rights and guarantee their right to participation. This research draws on previous research, analyses of cases in other cities and provinces, in-depth interviews with relevant public servants and field experts on and off Jeju Island, and a nationwide survey of experts in 16 cities and provinces. Based on these findings, this research puts forth 14 tasks in 4 areas: establishing a legal foundation for child impact assessment, raising awareness of the child impact assessment system, ensuring diverse child participation, and promoting the child impact assessment system.
