Research
Existing multicultural education materials often lack regional specificity and a gender perspective. Recognizing the interconnectedness of migration method, family structures, labor market entry, and social participation with transnational gender and cultural norms, this research developed 5 contents tailored to Jeju. These include the history of migration in Jeju, multicultural families, foreign workers, Koreans retaining a nationality of a foreign country, and multicultural sensitivity practices in the administrative system and public servants. The research also provides a summary of learning content and key gender points for each module.
