This research aimed to evaluate the current status of cultural tourism interpreters in Jeju and propose system improvements to reinvigorate job opportunities for women in Jeju. A survey involving 144 cultural tourism interpreters was conducted, accompanied by focus group interviews (FGIs) with 14 female cultural tourism interpreters and 9 experts. Drawing from the survey results, recommendations were put forth for a phased review of the cultural tourism interpreters' status, enhancements in treatment and working conditions, improved training to bolster their capabilities, and the development and expansion of various cultural tourism interpretation business.
