Research

This research explores the work-life situations of female police, municipal police, and firefighters in Jeju. Through surveys and in-depth interviews including aspects such as motivation to apply for the occupations, self-esteem, work status, educational and training needs, social awareness, and work-life experiences, this research examined the current status of these officials. The survey results led to recommendations for enhancing the personnel system, supporting work-life balance, raising awareness of the residents in the province, and improving gender sensitivity within institutions. Policy suggestions are categorized into institution-specific improvement plans and common improvement plans.
