Research
The working environment significantly impacts worker well-being, safety, and is connected to labor quality and company productivity. This research explores the labor realities, challenges, and policy needs of female wage earners in the Jeju's labor market, covering employment, wages, and working conditions. Drawing from these findings, policy recommendations are made to address employment insecurity to enhance the quality of life for women workers, mitigate the double burden and improve employment continuity through expanded welfare benefit systems, establish procedures for addressing discrimination and violence victims, promote awareness and institutional support for work-life balance, eliminate gender wage gaps, raise wage levels, and expand tailored education and training opportunities to strengthen the capabilities of women workers.
