Migrant women single parents face challenges, navigating overlapping support systems as members of multicultural families and single parents. However, their 'sandwiched existence' also presents blind spots in their support. This research analyzes survey data on migrant women single parents in Jeju, conducting in-depth interviews with both these single parents and related organizations. The goal is to identify and diagnose their living conditions and policy needs comprehensively. Proposing a terminology for international migrant background/single parents, the research addresses issues in law, housing, employment and starting up business, child care, and social participation, presenting policy tasks in these 5 areas to improve the quality of life for migrant women in Jeju.
