As the 7th popularly elected Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial government's gender equality policy reaches its third year since its implementation, this research evaluates its achievements and outlines directions and challenges for the upcoming eighth popularly elected provincial government's gender equality policy based on the achievements. Conducting an opinion survey involving 42 people from 39 institutions both on and off Jeju Island, the research results in the development of 14 strategic tasks and 36 detailed implementation tasks across 4 policy areas: gender mainstreaming and equality culture, women's safety, human rights, and health, family care, work-life balance, and women's jobs and labor.
