To provide guidance for proactive family policies in Jeju, enhancing the overall quality of life for families in a rapidly changing social landscape and family dynamics, an examination of current family policies by local governments was undertaken. The research also analyzed shifts in family dynamics in Jeju through statistical data. Focus group interview was conducted to discuss issues and policy directions related to families in Jeju. The outcome resulted in the identification of 6 policy directions and the formulation of 10 specific tasks across 6 themes. The proposed policy directions include strengthening acceptance of family diversity, adopting an integrated life cycle approach, responding comprehensively to family changes in Jeju, implementing policies to create a family-friendly environment, expanding psychological and emotional support policies to reinforce family safety, and strengthening the family policy delivery system.
