The objective of this research was to create locally relevant content for gender equality education, facilitating the improvement of gender equality education among residents. The aim was to develop materials that align with the sentiments of the Jeju community, utilizing them as educational resources to enhance local awareness of gender equality. The educational content includes symbols representative of Jeju and local statistics such as Jeju proverbs, tales, historical narratives, and stories of Jeju women including Haenyeo (women divers). This approach allows people to recognize and contemplate the current gender equality situation in Jeju through the lens of local content. This research recommends the future production and diverse use of gender equality education materials in Jeju including videos, characters, and card news based on feedback from the community and expert reviews.
