Research
To revitalize women's studies in Jeju, which has experienced a hiatus since 2010, and to rediscover the stories of women's lives in Jeju while establishing their identities, this research conducted an analysis of the historical trajectory of women's studies over approximately 70 years (post-liberation to 2018), categorizing the analysis by period and area. Based on the insights gained, this research proposes 12 detailed tasks across three domains: expanding the scope of women's studies in Jeju, maximizing the use of women's studies outputs, and strengthening the foundation for promoting women's studies in Jeju. These tasks include researching Jeju's local history from a gender perspective, identifying and passing down Jeju women's cultural heritage, exploring diverse women figures and researching their life histories, providing documentation and services for women's studies in Jeju, and facilitating the training of personnel in women's studies.
