To examine the living conditions of grandchildren in grandparent families in Jeju, this research analyzed relevant statistics and policies and conducted a survey involving 207 grandparents and grandchildren under the age of 18 residing in grandparent families in Jeju. Additionally, in-depth interviews were carried out with 15 grandchildren and field experts. Based on the findings, the research proposes 13 policy tasks spanning three areas: reinforcing the functionality of grandparent-grandchild families, enhancing the capacities of grandparents, and bolstering the capacities of grandchildren.
