This research examines the essence of rituals in Jeju, aiming to assess changes in ritual culture in Jeju through surveys on current rituals and residents' perspectives. Drawing from these insights, this research strives to propose directions for improvement to ensure the passing down of a gender-equitable ritual culture aligned with contemporary values. Policy recommendations for fostering a gender-equitable ritual culture include 'introducing historical examples of gender-equitable ritual practices', 'launching participatory campaigns to disseminate gender-equitable ritual culture', 'organizing cooking classes for male seniors', 'promoting gender-equitable ritual culture through communication with civil society', and 'passing down and preserving women's cultural heritage in Jeju'.
