Research
Recently, there is a rapid increase in cases related to out-of-school migrant youth and multicultural family crises in Jeju. This research explores the present condition of gaps in support policies for out-of-school migrant youth and multicultural family 'crisis' youth who have previously resided abroad and have now entered Korea and conducts an analysis of interviews carried out with family members and experts in the respective cases. The aim is to suggest ways to enhance integrated support functions including reinforcing family and community support networks, strengthening support within the school system, and systematizing assistance outside the school system. The measures also include bolstering support for each stage of the settlement cycle (for each growth stage) for migrant youth growing both at home and abroad.
