Research
While numerous studies on women's entrepreneurship have been conducted at the national and local levels, and by academic researchers, there is an absence of surveys or research projects focused specifically on women's entrepreneurship in Jeju. This research addressed this gap by conducting surveys and in-depth interviews with 250 female entrepreneurs, analyzing domestic policies, reviewing previous studies, and consulting with experts. The aim was to understand the current status and areas for improvement in women's entrepreneurship on Jeju Island. Based on the findings, the research proposes 6 policy directions and 11 detailed policy tasks including strengthening the promotion system, expanding incubation infrastructure, and enhancing entrepreneurship education with more robust resources, to bolster support for women's entrepreneurship in Jeju.
