This research was a project focusing on establishing biennial gender statistics for Jeju, published by the Institute. The goal is to provide updated gender statistics for each field, serving as a foundation for developing gender equality policies tailored to local characteristics. The 2017 edition includes 11 areas (population, family, childcare, education, economic activity, health, welfare, political and social participation, culture, safety and environment, and city and provincial comparison) with 399 statistical tables. Compared to 2015, 63 new indicators, reflective of Jeju's social characteristics, were developed and incorporated.
