Research

The primary purpose of this research is to establish gender statistics across each sector in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, building upon the foundation set by the 「2013 Jeju Women and Family Statistics」. In 2015, the statistical compilation was renamed 'gender statistics' to align with the provisions of the 「Framework Act on Gender Equality」. Significant enhancements were made, involving a revision and supplementation of 117 indicators (introducing 53 new indicators and complementing 64 existing ones) along with the removal of 69 indicators. These updates reflect the latest domestic gender equality indicators and the trajectory of compiling gender statistics, refining the gender statistics system in Jeju with the development of 382 statistical tables for 11 areas.
