This research examines internet usage patterns and perceptions of adolescents in Jeju, proposing measures for responsible internet use and addiction prevention. A survey included 793 middle school students and 230 parents in Jeju. Based on 4 policy directions, 6 specific tasks were recommended. These policy directions are to enhance the infrastructure for preventing and eliminating internet addiction, establish a customized internet addiction prevention education system for each life cycle, strengthen community connections, and create a collaborative response system. The 6 tasks focus on ensuring objectivity and rationality, enhancing interconnectedness, tailoring approaches to local characteristics, employing field-oriented strategies, improving practicality, and fostering private cooperation.
