To assess the state of child care in Jeju, this research conducted a survey involving 1,000 primary caregivers responsible for infants, toddlers, and lower elementary school children within Jeju households. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 primary caregivers in similar circumstances. Drawing from the survey findings, 10 policy recommendations were proposed across four areas: enhancing residents' awareness of child care, developing age-specific child care services, designating child care-focused hub organizations and establishing a collaborative network, and fostering a child-friendly environment.
