Research

This research focuses on the policy vision of Jeju to "foster a Jeju-style regional community of environment-friendly farming", and aims to disperse this vision over sustainable farming, in the era of uncertainties due to the climate crisis and the decrease in the farming population. To this end, this research identified the current status and improvement needs of the environment-friendly agriculture in Jeju, by using various methods including the review of literature and polices, conducting a survey(505 persons) and in-depth interviews(10 persons) of farmers practicing environment-friendly agriculture in Jeju region. Based on the outcome of the research, policy directions and tasks were proposed such as Jeju-style vision for 'The 3rd Generation of Environment-Friendly Agriculture,' etc.
