This study attempted to diagnose achievements and tasks and seek ways to revitalize the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province five years after it operated the gender equality officer system. It analyzed the current status of the domestic system related to gender equality officers and the level of gender equality in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, analyzed the contents of the management card for the operation of the gender equality officer system between 2020 and 2023, and conducted FGI by department for a total of 41 people in 16 departments to analyze the role of gender equality and policy demand. Based on the above research results, 12 policy tasks in four areas were proposed, including supplementing the legal basis, systemizing the operation of the gender equality officer system, establishing and linking the department's gender equality goals, and establishing a feedback system.
