This study aims to comprehensively and closely understand the health status of wage workers in Jeju Island in terms of health behaviors (drinking, smoking, exercise, nutrition), obesity (body mass index), mental health, chronic diseases (blood pressure, diabetes), and subjective health awareness using the raw data from the 2023 "Community Health Survey" of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and to derive effective policy implications.

Major policy implications for promoting the health of wage workers in Jeju Island include: △ Improving abstinence from alcohol and health management: Encourage abstinence from alcohol among wage workers in Jeju Island, which has a high drinking rate, and focus more on managing obesity and hypertension among male wage workers. △ Promoting social and psychological health: Policies that promote stress management and participation in social activities are needed, and in particular, encourage participation of young people aged 19-29 and agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers. △ Encourage health checkups: Encourage health checkups for wage workers aged 19-29 and agricultural, forestry, and fishery workers, and strengthen education on their health risks. △ Strengthen support for preventing industrial accidents and worker safety and health: It was derived that it is important to revise the relevant ordinances of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and to continue bold investment and on-site investigations into small businesses.
