Research
In order to understand the current status of digital sex crimes against children and adolescents in Jeju and to support victims, we investigated the current status of digital sex crimes, cases from outside the province, related laws and policies, and in-depth interviews with victims, caregivers, and experts in the field. As a result, it was found that teenagers were the main victims in Jeju. In addition, female victims were three times more likely to be male victims. Children and adolescents experienced sexual exploitation material through open chat rooms, games, or SNS, and experienced difficulties such as anxiety/fear/anxiety disorder/depression/insomnia/suicidal impulses/social isolation/isolation after the damage. Children and adolescents tend not to recognize digital sex crime perpetrators as sex criminals, so digital sex crime prevention education needs to be further strengthened. To improve this, we presented nine tasks in three areas.
