Our society is in the midst of demographic and social environmental changes such as the deepening of low birth rates and aging population and the rapid advancement of the 4th industrial revolution. The agenda surrounding women’s lives is connected to the overall areas of social policy such as population, family, employment, income, welfare, and living environment, and in particular, it requires a gender-sensitive perspective on local government policies closely related to the quality of life of residents. Under these circumstances, this study was planned and conducted as a pilot survey to build representative data that can comprehensively understand the quality of life of Jeju women by life cycle and to utilize the results in establishing policies for sustainable Jeju development including gender equality policies. This study designed a pilot survey based on a review of domestic and foreign gender statistical indicators and an analysis of major gender-sensitive statistics by field. The survey content design utilized the “Life Cycle Quality Measurement Framework” of Statistics Korea, and the survey results in nine fields including education, economic activity, family, health, income and consumption, housing, safety and environment, community and social participation, and well-being and values were analyzed, and the data utilization plan and future tasks were presented.
