This study attempted to suggest a support plan to activate the flexible work system with high demands from workers for a work-life balance in Jeju. To this end, the government and Jeju Island's laws and policies on the flexible work system were reviewed, and the current status of use of the flexible work system across the country and in Jeju Island was analyzed. In addition, seven excellent companies were discovered by investigating the best practices of the domestic flexible work system, and major flexible work systems were analyzed. In addition, a focus group interview survey was conducted on 16 people involved in companies using the flexible work system in Jeju to investigate their experience in using the flexible work system and demands for support policies. Based on the results of this survey, it was proposed to provide infrastructure support such as commuting management systems, accommodation and restaurant businesses, support for flexible work systems for wholesale and retail businesses, select and support Jeju-type excellent companies with a work-life balance, and strengthen incentives for Jeju family-friendly certified companies.
