This study, aimed at developing social welfare policies that effectively address local government-level caregiving issues, surveyed 400 middle-aged and older parents and college-aged youth in Jeju to examine intergenerational differences in their perceptions of caregiving, community spirit, and lifestyle culture. Based on the survey results, the study proposes measures to revitalize caregiving communities based on lifestyle culture, establish an integrated management system for life-cycle care policies, establish sustainable care strategies, and revise care-related ordinances.
