Research
This study deeply analyzes the cultural adaptation and social network formation processes of North Korean defector women residing in Jeju. Utilizing social capital theory and cultural adaptation theory as analytical frameworks, in-depth interviews and group interviews were conducted to comprehensively explore their settlement experiences, social network development, and utilization of institutional support. Based on the survey results, it is suggested that it is necessary to establish a social network for North Korean defector women, establish a virtuous cycle of education, labor, and self-reliance, and establish an integrated support system through linkage with multicultural policies.
