Research
This study uses microdata from the Time Use Survey (1999–2024) conducted by the national statistical authority to compare changes in time use among Jeju residents between 2019 and 2024 with national trends. Using 2024 data, it also examines time use by sociodemographic characteristics, employment status, and household characteristics.
The study further analyzes perceptions and experiences related to time, including time pressure, fatigue, life satisfaction, leisure satisfaction, satisfaction with the division of housework, and gender-role attitudes. Based on these findings, it establishes gender-sensitive baseline statistics and proposes policy responses and future tasks tailored to the characteristics of Jeju.
