The issue of “No Kids Zones” (areas that prohibit children from entering) has emerged as a significant topic in public policy for children and families in Korea. According to the website sharing maps of No Kids Zones and Kids Zones (https://sites.google.com/view/yesnokids), as of 2023, there are over 500 No Kids Zone establishments nationwide, with 20.4% located in Jeju—making it the second highest region after Gyeonggi Province.

This study utilizes the 2024 report, Status Survey of No Kids Zones in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (by Jeju Province and the Jeju Childcare Comprehensive Support Center), to reanalyze the status of No Kids Zones in the region. Based on the findings, it offers policy implications for building an inclusive social environment where children and adults can coexist.
